Visual Visitor supports multiple alert modes so the right
people on your team receive visitor notifications in the format that works best
for their workflow.
Alert types
• Real-Time (Instant) Alerts: An email is sent within minutes of a visitor being identified.
Best for sales reps who want to call or email a prospect while they are still
on your site.
• Daily Summary Alerts: A single email is sent once per day (typically in the morning)
summarizing all visitors identified in the previous 24 hours. Best for managers
reviewing lead quality or customers who do not need instant follow-up.
• Weekly Alerts: Similar to daily, but consolidated to one email per week. Useful
for low-traffic sites or senior stakeholders who want a high-level view.
How to configure alerts
- Go to Configuration > Alerts (or Notification Rules) in your Visual Visitor dashboard.
- Select the alert frequency (Real-Time, Daily, or Weekly).
- Enter the email addresses of everyone who should receive alerts. Multiple recipients can be added.
- Save your settings.
Best practices
• Sales reps: Use
real-time alerts
• Marketing managers: Use daily summary alerts to review lead trends.
• Executives/clients: Use weekly summary alerts or the dashboard's reporting view.
