How to Update a User's Email Address in Visual Visitor

If you need to change or update the email address of a client, please reach out to support@visualvisitor.com with the:
  1. client account,
  2. email address
  3. and user name that needs to be changed,
  4. what it needs to be changed to.

We will be happy to make the adjustment.

 

 

Special Case: User on Multiple Accounts

 

If a user's email address appears on more than one Visual Visitor account, changing the address on one account will not automatically update it on the others. Specify all relevant accounts in your support request to ensure consistency.

 

After the Update

 

  1. The user should use the new email address to log in.
  2.  If the user's password is tied to the old address, they may need to use the "Forgot Password" flow to reset using the new email.
  3.  Notification emails (daily/weekly reports, real-time alerts) will be sent to the new address going forward.

Password reset emails will expire 10 minutes after the email is received.
