Have your email notifications stopped after setting up a webhook?
When a webhook is added to your dashboard, it takes precedence over real-time notification alerts. This means that if both are active, the webhook will override instant email notifications.
To continue receiving real-time alerts while keeping the webhook connected, it is recommended to create a new user specifically for the webhook. This ensures that real-time notifications remain unaffected.
The email associated with the webhook user does not impact functionality. However, it must be different from the email of the user who wishes to receive the instant notifications.
Need to add an additional user for your Webhook?
Tip: You can create an "alias" email to set up the new user.
Alias Example:
Original Email: JohnDoe@visualvisitor.com
Alias Email Example: JohnDoe+webhook@visualvisitor.com
(+webhook, or +anything is your alias)
