Managing Free Trials for your Clients
When resellers onboard new clients, those accounts are typically placed on a free trial with a default number of identification credits (IDs).
During the trial period, you may need to increase available IDs or extend the trial duration to ensure the client has enough data and time to properly evaluate the platform.
Increasing Free Trial ID Limits
Free trials are created with a default ID limit (500 IDs). If a client needs additional data to assess performance, you can request an increase.
To request an ID increase:
Email Visual Visitor Support with:
-
Client account name
-
Account ID (available in the customer menu)
-
Requested ID limit (example: increase from 500 to 3,000)
What to expect:
-
Updates are typically completed within the same business day
-
A confirmation email will be sent once the change is applied
Extending a Free Trial
If a client needs more time to evaluate the platform, you can request a trial extension.
To request an extension:
Email Visual Visitor Support with:
-
Client account name
-
Account ID
-
Requested new trial end date
Notes:
-
Trial extensions are typically granted for a few additional weeks
-
Longer extensions may require converting the account to a limited paid plan
Converting a Trial to a Paid Account
Once your client is ready to move forward, follow the process outlined in the KBA:
“Convert a Customer from Free Trial to Paid Account”
