What's a Custom Audience?

Custom Audience is a targeted group of people defined by specific data—often from your own business—that you use to personalize marketing. These audiences allow you to tailor ads, emails, or content to people based on their behavior, demographics, or past interactions with your brand.

These audiences can then be targeted through personalized email marketing, digital advertising, or tailored website content to increase engagement and conversions.

What Is a Custom Audience?

Custom Audience is:

  1. A segment of users based on first-party data (like your Visual Visitor traffic, email list, or CRM).
  2. Common in platforms like Facebook Ads, Google Ads, and LinkedIn Ads.
  3. Used for personalized, targeted outreach rather than broad marketing.

Examples of Custom Audience Criteria:

  1. People who visited a specific product page
  2. Past customers who haven’t returned in 90 days
  3. Users who clicked on an email but didn’t purchase
  4. Visitors from a certain location or company size
