How to Create a Person-Level Advertising Campaign?

Overview

The Campaign Studio allows you to build highly targeted Person-Level Advertising campaigns based on real, verified data. By defining interests, locations, and behavioral criteria, you can reach individuals actively researching products or services related to your business.

This article walks through the steps to create a campaign using Person-Level Ads → Campaign Studio.



Step 1: Navigate to Campaign Studio

  1. From the main menu, go to Person-Level Ads → Campaign Studio.



  2. This will open the Campaign Studio Builder interface, where you can configure new audience targeting campaigns or edit existing ones.






Step 2: Define Your Interest Criteria

  1. Begin by selecting your Interest Criteria — this determines the topics your audience is actively researching or engaging with.

  2. Choose from one of the following:

    • Personal Interest Criteria: Focuses on consumer topics and lifestyle interests.

      • Example:  “Apparel & Accessories,” “Automotive,” or “Real Estate.”



        Notes
        Personal Interest Criteria can include a Subcategory and Topics to create more granular and precise targeting within your campaign. 

    • Professional Interest Criteria: Focuses on business and occupational topics (ideal for B2B campaigns).

      • Example:  “Account-Based Marketing,” “Risk Management Software,” or “Supply Chain Optimization.”






Step 3: Add Additional Search Criteria

Enhance targeting precision by adding additional filters to define your ideal audience.
Common options include:

  • Location Criteria: Define the geographic area for your campaign (e.g., within a 30-mile radius of Jacksonville, FL).

  • Financial Criteria: Specify estimated household income or net worth (e.g., income above $100,000).

  • Company Criteria: Select filters such as company industry, employee size, or revenue.

These criteria help narrow your audience to individuals who best match your customer profile.



Step 4: Review, Configure, and Save Your Campaign

  1. Review your campaign criteria. 

    Before creating your campaign, review the selected filters and targeting options in the Campaign Studio to ensure accuracy.

    • Verify all Interest Criteria, Location, and Additional Filters are set correctly.

    • Make any adjustments needed before proceeding.

    When ready, click Create Campaign to finalize your configuration.

  2. Configure Campaign Details

    After saving your initial setup, define the campaign details and export preferences. You will need to assign a Campaign Name

  3. Configure an Email Action and/or Custom Audience Export Action

    You can choose to send campaign data via email or export it directly to ad platforms such as Meta (Facebook) or Google Ads.

Email Actions

  1. Toggle Enable Action to activate the email report delivery.

  2. Enter the email address(es) where the report should be sent.

  3. Select the Frequency – choose Daily or Weekly.

  4. Choose the Export Format:

    • Generic Custom Audience

    • Facebook Custom Audience

    • Google Ads Custom Audience

  5. Determine your Export Scope:

    • All Contacts Found – exports every identified candidate.

    • Only New Contacts – exports only newly identified candidates since the last report.


Custom Audience Export Actions

    1. Toggle Enable Action to activate the connector delivery.

    2. Select the Ad platform you wish to sync with, Meta or Google

    3. Choose the Ad Account you would like to connect to.

    4. Determine the Custom Audience list from the dropdown, or add a new Custom Audience to send to. 

    5. Click Test Audience before saving to ensure the list is synced. 



      NotesAdding Multiple Custom Audience Export Actions
      You can create additional export actions to deliver data to multiple ad platforms. Click Add New Custom Audience Action at the top of the card to send audiences to both Facebook and Google simultaneously


4. Save and Activate 

Once all settings are configured, click Save to apply your changes. You can monitor your campaign under Campaign Summary, where you can monitor export activity and make adjustments as needed.
